VERY QUICK AND INEXPENSIVE ASIAN WRAPS

I really love meals that are quick to prepare and are inexpensive. This fits both those criteria. It’s also really tasty and you’ll be wanting more.

I used Tahini but the other butters work just as well.

Adjust your spice to your own taste

EASY ASIAN WRAPS

Serves 6

Sauce:

5 Tbsp coconut aminos, soy sauce substitute

2 tbsp Tahini or almond butter or peanut butter or cashew butter

1 Tbsp maple syrup, sugar free (optional)

1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

2 tsp olive oil, if using almond or peanut or cashew butter use sesame oil

1 tsp ginger, finely grated

1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, according to taste

1 tbsp sriracha

1 tsp fish sauce

Filling:

1 Tbsp olive oil

500g/1 lb chicken or turkey or pork mince

4 cloves garlic

1 medium red onion sliced

1/4 carrot grated

Wraps:

Romaine lettuce leaves

Or

Low Carb Flat Bread

Brown chicken/pork in oil, add onion and garlic; cook till onions are tender, add carrots.

Combine all sauce ingredients and add to filling;

Cook until sauce gets thicker and stickier

Serve in lettuce or low carb wraps
