I love chocolate and I really love chocolate mousse. This mousse is light, smooth and easy to make, which in my book makes it totally irresistible.

Keto Chocolate Mousse

4 servings


2 oz/57g unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 oz/57g cream cheese

3 oz/ 89ml heavy whipping cream, whipped

1 tbsp cocoa/cacao powder, if using cacao you may need to use slightly less as the flavour is more intense.

1tsp vanilla extract, optional but I think it enhances the taste of anything chocolate

Stevia to taste. I use between 5 and 8 drops but I don’t like it too sweet


Combine butter and sweetener, stirring until completely blended.

Add cream cheese; blend until smooth.

Add cocoa powder and blend completely.

Whip heavy cream and gradually add to the mixture.

Spoon into small serving dishes or glasses or jars and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Top with whipped heavy cream or grated sugar free chocolate or just on its own as these would add extra carbs. If I’m feeling totally indulgent I top with both.
