Chocolate + Tahini = Two of my favourite ingredients, you’ll have to force yourself to stop eating these. Make a batch and find out for yourself.
These are also good to make with children and they love them.
Chocolate Tahini Crunch Bars
200g/1 1/3 cups unsweetened chocolate
180ml/2/3 cup tahini
1/2 teaspoon salt
60g/2/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
150g/1/2 cup mixed seeds of your choice (I used sunflower and pumpkin)
2 Tbsp chia seeds
75g | 1/2 cup roughly §chopped walnuts or pecans or pistachios or a mix
75g/1/4 cup puffed quinoa (optional)
Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper leaving some excess around the sides for handles.
Put chocolate, tahini and salt into a bowl and melt together over a pan of hot simmering water, stirring occasionally until fully melted.
Remove from the heat. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
Stir in the other ingredients. Make sure they are all well coated
Spoon out into your prepared tin and press down really well all over.
Refrigerate until set then cut into even pieces.
Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 weeks, they won’t last that long I promise you.
