PALEO GARLIC BREAD

Made these today as my partner was missing bread, They turned out great, nice and crusty, so used them as burger buns for dinner. Partner had the idea that if we rolled it out thinner and added some garlic and coriander as the seasoning it would make great naan bread.

PALEO GARLIC BREAD

Ingredients

1/2 cup palm shortening or olive oil

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon sea salt

3/4 cup tapioca flour

1/4 cup coconut flour

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon fresh chopped garlic

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a small pan combine the olive oil, water and sea salt and bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and add in the garlic and then the tapioca flour.

Mix thoroughly and let rest for 5 minutes.

Add in the in Italian seasoning and egg.

Mix in the coconut flour and then knead the dough for 1 minute on a piece of baking parchment.

Divide dough into equal size pieces and roll them into balls.

Place the rolls   on a greased baking sheet/lined baking sheet/silicone mat

Bake for 30 – 40 minutes

Cool on a rack
